Contest Judge, Noor Hindi
Noor Hindi (she/her) is a Palestinian-American poet and reporter. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in POETRY, Hobart and Jubilat. Her essays have appeared or are forthcoming in American Poetry Review, Literary Hub, and Adroit Journal. Her debut collection of poems, Dear God. Dear Bones. Three prizes will be awarded:1st place: $100; 2nd place: $75; 3rd place: $50.
Winning poems will be published inWest Trestle Review and paired with original collage by Molly Dunham. The winner will receive the original of the one-of-a kind art as well. All submissions will be considered for future WTR issues.

Poems will be screened gently by WTR editors and read anonymously by the final judge.
Per the Publishing Contest Ethics, as advanced by the Council of Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP), any person who has studied poetry in a formal program with the judge—through a college, university, community program, residency, or private tutorial, within the last two years—is not eligible to submit to this contest.
In addition, if you feel the judge would recognize the submission for any reason, please don't send it.
Copyright info for winning entries: All winners will grant WTR First North American Serial Rights and the right to maintain an archived copy of the poem online. All other rights will revert to the author upon publication.

Guidelines:
We are open to work from around the globe, as long as it's written in English by a woman or non-binary writer. Please send us three poems attached here in a single document, in black, Times New Roman, 12 point font. Please do not make or request edits.
The fee is $6 per submission of three poems. Multiple submissions are welcome.
As Submittable takes a large chunk of submission fees, we ask that you pay via PayPal and include your transaction confirmation number in your cover letter.
If you are able to make a donation to support free submissions for Black, Indigenous and poets of color who are unable to pay the contest entry fee, we would really appreciate it.
Black, Indigenous, and poets of color may request an entry fee waiver in the cover letter. We will accommodate as many requests as we are able.
