Simple Things & Spaceships

Cam Pietralunga writes: As an artist, I don’t have to look far to find inspiration. I enjoy taking a macro and micro view of my everyday world—the way a grouping of books sits on a shelf, how the light over a counter shines down in an inverted vee, the way pens gathered up in a glass jar fan out. It’s the simple things that surround me everyday that trigger connections, relationships, create pattern and emotion in my work.

Cam Pietralunga is a Sacramento-based abstract painter. She is a lifelong artist who has been painting abstract since 2020. She creates abstract acrylic paintings on canvas and is inspired by the processes of life and the natural laws of existence. She is inspired by the ebb and flow of everyday relationships—terrestrial and otherwise. Her emotional translations of movement become a buffet of layers, colors and textures to delight the viewer with optimistic feelings of wonder.
